Wow… what a year!
I’m looking back at 2018 with an exhausted smile, so many shows around the Prisma Europe tour came out great, the first amazing time in Japan with the Tokyo and Osaka shows, making new friends, and hooking up with old. During this period I also had the possibility to get to know and play with the great guy and fantastic player Rob Marcello who took the place on my right-hand side after my brother Henrik's departure.
I’ve had quite a number of great, hard-working hours in the studio together with my new colleagues Samuel Waermo and Kaj Pousar, recording my new solo album, ready to be released during 2019, and this one is a KILLER!
I had the possibility to start up a new songwriting and recording band with some of my favorite musicians Johan, Jarmo, Mathias, and Martin and that will be introduced in more detail during the coming year, it’s going to be a Dark Horse in the game and that’s a promise.
I’ve been honored to do some charity work with various organizations, continuing and developing my work with ”Artist for the environment” that will be more official during 2019.
Thankfully I had a few weeks together with loved ones on the ”Scatcat” ship this summer as well but I hope to have some more of that next year.
I’m rounding up the year with the Christmas shows, with the amazing production at Steamhotel and Held Management, together with the multi-talent Jessica Andersson and that happened to kick off some new exciting plans for 2019.
I’m also really happy to say I will soon announce my appearance in the coming national TV show this spring, it’s of course all about music and great production.
We decided to call it a day with The Poodles brothers, 12 years is a long time and I am forever grateful for all what it gave us, it’s been one hell of a ride, but it’s simply time to move on for all of us. I know this is sad news for many of you but have some faith until you hear and see what's coming.
No one knows what the long time future will bring and we’re all excited to dig into what lies ahead of us.
Until very soon, dear friends and allies, raise a glass and salute life!
Jakob
